Day 1: Bishkek to Burana Tower to Kochkor

- Your adventure begins in Bishkek.
- Meet your private guide and driver and travel toward the mountains.
- Your first stop is Burana Tower, one of Kyrgyzstan’s most important historical monuments from the medieval Silk Road era. Explore the tower, archaeological remains and collection of ancient stone balbals.
- Continue toward Kochkor, a traditional mountain village and an important gateway to Song-Kul.
- In the afternoon, take a short walk through the surrounding countryside and meet a local family.
- Learn about traditional Kyrgyz hospitality, felt-making and nomadic culture.

Day 2: Kochkor to Song-Kul
Day 2: Kochkor to Song-Kul: Into the High Mountains
- After breakfast, leave Kochkor and begin the journey toward Song-Kul.
- Travel by 4×4 vehicle through increasingly dramatic mountain landscapes, crossing a high mountain pass before reaching the open jailoo pastures.
- At approximately 3,016 m above sea level, Song-Kul is surrounded by broad grasslands, mountain ridges and summer pastures where Kyrgyz shepherds traditionally bring their animals during the warmer months.
- After arrival, settle into a traditional yurt.
- Choose a gentle hike around the lake shore or take your first horseback-riding experience across the surrounding pastures.
- Watch local horsemen, sheep and cattle moving across the jailoo while the mountains form a spectacular backdrop.
- In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner inside the yurt.
- If skies are clear, Song-Kul’s remote location offers excellent opportunities for stargazing.

- Today is dedicated to experiencing Song-Kul on foot and horseback.
- Ride along the lake shore and through the surrounding summer pastures.
- The pace is relaxed and suitable for travelers with limited riding experience.
- Leave the horses and continue on foot for a scenic walk through the jailoo.
Along the way, visit a local shepherd family and learn about:
- Yurt life
- Traditional dairy products
- Horse breeding

- Nomadic traditions
Return to the yurt camp for dinner.
Spend another peaceful evening beneath the mountain sky.

Day 4: Song-Kul to Issyk-Kul

- After breakfast, leave Song-Kul and descend from the highlands.
- Return through the mountain valleys toward Kochkor before continuing toward Lake Issyk-Kul.
- The landscape changes dramatically as high pastures give way to the huge blue expanse of the lake.
- Issyk-Kul lies at approximately 1,607 m and is surrounded by the Tian Shan mountains.
Depending on the season and weather, enjoy time beside the lake for:
- A lakeside walk
- Photography
- Swimming during the summer season
- Local village exploration
Continue toward the southern shore.

Day 5: Skazka Canyon to Barskoon to Jeti-Oguz to Karakol
Day 5: Skazka Canyon to Barskoon to Jeti-Oguz to Karakol
- Today is one of the most scenic adventure days of the journey.
- Explore the colorful sandstone formations of Skazka Canyon, walking through natural rock corridors and viewpoints overlooking Issyk-Kul.
- Continue to Barskoon Valley and enjoy a mountain walk toward its waterfalls.
- Barskoon is particularly suitable for a short adventure excursion because the valley offers mountain scenery and hiking opportunities without requiring a multi-day trek.
- Continue east toward Jeti-Oguz Valley, famous for its dramatic red sandstone formations.
- Take a short walk around the famous Seven Bulls viewpoint and, if conditions permit, continue deeper into the valley.
- Jeti-Oguz lies approximately 28 km from Karakol and provides easy access to longer mountain walks and summer horseback-riding opportunities.
- Continue to Karakol.

- Today you enter the Tian Shan mountains surrounding Karakol.
- Travel toward the Ak-Suu area and begin the mountain approach to Altyn-Arashan, a spectacular alpine valley known for its forests, mountain peaks and natural hot springs.
- The exact hiking arrangement depends on weather, road conditions and the group’s fitness level.
- Enjoy a mountain walk through the valley before relaxing in the natural thermal springs.
- Altyn-Arashan is one of the classic Karakol-area mountain experiences and is normally best accessed for trekking during June–September.
- Return to Karakol in the afternoon or evening.
- Celebrate the final adventure evening with a traditional dinner and local ashlan-fu.

Day 7: Karakol to Issyk-Kul to Bishkek

- After breakfast, begin the return journey toward Bishkek along the northern shore of Issyk-Kul.
- Stop at Cholpon-Ata to visit the open-air petroglyph site and enjoy final views of the lake and Tian Shan mountains.
- Continue west through the Boom Gorge toward Bishkek.
