Itinerary (Camp 1,2 and 3)
Day 1: Arrive in Osh, Transfer to Guesthouse
Upon arrival at Osh International Airport, our team will meet you and transfer you to a cozy guesthouse in the city. You’ll have time to relax, explore local markets, and recover from your journey. A pre-climb briefing will be held in the evening to go over safety procedures and route plans. This is your first introduction to the Lenin Peak expedition and the stunning culture of southern Kyrgyzstan.

Day 2: Transfer to Lenin Peak Base Camp (3,600m)
After breakfast, we drive through the spectacular Alay Valley toward the Lenin Peak Base Camp, located at 3,600 meters in the Achik-Tash Valley. The 5–6 hour journey offers incredible views of the Pamir mountain range and rolling pastures. Upon arrival, you’ll settle into your tent and meet the full support team. A warm welcome dinner will be served at the base camp dining yurt.

Day 3–4: Acclimatization Hikes, Gear Check, Rest
These two days are dedicated to gradual altitude acclimatization through short hikes around the base camp, including a scenic trek to the Petrovskiy Peak ridge (~4,000m). We’ll perform a full equipment check, go over glacier safety protocols, and provide climbing technique refreshers. There will also be free time to rest and hydrate. This is a key phase for preparing your body for the higher camps.

Day 5–6: Trek to Camp 1 (4,400m), Glacier Safety Briefing
We’ll begin our ascent with a steady hike to Camp 1, crossing a long moraine and eventually traversing the glacier with the support of a mountain guide. This is a physically demanding section and often includes rope crossings. Upon reaching Camp 1, you’ll receive a glacier movement and crevasse rescue briefing. Sleep in expedition tents and experience your first night on the glacier.

Day 7–12: Rotations to Camp 2 (5,300m) and Camp 3 (6,100m)
Over the next several days, we follow the classic climbing Lenin Peak strategy of acclimatization rotations. We’ll climb to Camp 2 and then to Camp 3, each time returning to lower camps to sleep and aid recovery. This routine helps the body adjust to the thin air and reduces risk of altitude sickness. Routes include traverses, snowfields, and steep snow slopes. All movements are supervised by certified Lenin Peak guides.

Day 13–15: Summit Attempt (Weather-Dependent)
With a favorable forecast and proper acclimatization, we’ll begin our Lenin Peak summit attempt. The route from Camp 3 to the summit (7,134m) is long and requires a very early start. Expect cold temperatures, low oxygen, and a steep final ridge. Reaching the summit offers panoramic views across the Pamirs—one of the most rewarding moments in high-altitude climbing. After summiting, we descend safely to lower camps for recovery.

Day 16–17: Descend, Return to Osh via Base Camp
We gradually descend from high camps back to Lenin Peak Base Camp, collecting gear and celebrating the expedition. You’ll enjoy a farewell dinner with the team before transferring back to Osh the next day. Upon return, you’ll have a night in the guesthouse to rest or explore the city one last time. A certificate ceremony concludes your unforgettable Lenin Peak expedition.

Introduction to Lenin Peak Climbing
Hiking Lenin Peak is more than a mountain climb—it’s a full cultural and wilderness experience in one of the least-touristed regions of the world. The route starts in Osh and travels deep into the Alay Valley, where the stark beauty of the Pamirs greets climbers with awe-inspiring peaks and traditional Kyrgyz yurt camps.
Difficulty, Altitude & Equipment
Many climbers ask: “How difficult is Lenin Peak?” Despite its extreme height, it’s known as one of the most “accessible” 7,000ers. Still, it demands proper acclimatization, physical fitness, and endurance. The altitude gain is significant, and cold weather and crevasses require caution. We provide all technical equipment, including ropes, crampons, and helmets, and we manage your load between camps.
Base Camp & Permits
Our Lenin Peak base camp includes large dining tents, sleeping tents, and access to sanitation facilities. We secure your Lenin Peak base camp permit and the required Lenin Peak travellers pass, essential for border area access.
Support Team & Safety
You’ll be in the hands of experienced mountain guides, many from the Aksai Lenin Peak mountaineering team. Our staff includes certified guides, cooks, porters, and a medic, all trained for high-altitude conditions. We also provide satellite communications for emergency situations.
Getting to Lenin Peak
Wondering how to reach the trailhead? We arrange full transport from Bishkek to Lenin Peak, including flights to Osh and vehicle transfers to base camp. No need to worry about logistics—we handle every detail.
Winter Ascent Option
For extreme adventurers, we offer a Lenin Peak in winter experience (December–February). Please note this version is only for highly experienced mountaineers with previous winter ascents above 6,000m.
