Itinerary

Day 1: Bishkek to Burana to Kochkor to Song-Kul

Begin your Jeep adventure in Bishkek and head toward the mountains.

Your first stop is the historic Burana Tower, one of Kyrgyzstan’s most important Silk Road monuments.

Continue toward Kochkor, a traditional mountain village known for its handicrafts and nomadic culture.

From Kochkor, leave the main roads behind and begin the 4×4 journey toward Song-Kul Lake.

Cross mountain roads and spectacular landscapes before reaching the high-altitude lake.

Song-Kul is surrounded by wide alpine pastures where nomadic families traditionally spend the summer with their horses and livestock.

Enjoy an evening at a traditional yurt camp, with the possibility of experiencing local food, traditional music, and nomadic hospitality.

Wake up surrounded by the spectacular scenery of Song-Kul.

After breakfast, enjoy time around the lake with an optional horse riding experience or short hike through the surrounding pastures.

Continue your Jeep adventure by crossing mountain terrain and high passes called Kalmak Ashuu.

Descend from the Song-Kul area toward Kochkor, then continue toward the Issyk-Kul region.

Arrive at the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, one of the world’s largest alpine lakes.

Enjoy the changing scenery as the landscape transforms from high mountain pastures to the vast blue waters of Issyk-Kul.

After breakfast, continue along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul.

Begin the day with a visit to Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon, famous for its colorful red, orange and yellow rock formations.

Explore the canyon on foot and enjoy panoramic views of Issyk-Kul and the surrounding mountains.

Continue toward Barskoon Gorge, a spectacular valley surrounded by the Terskey Ala-Too mountains.

Depending on conditions, take a short hike to see the famous Barskoon waterfalls and mountain scenery.

Continue along the southern shore and enjoy scenic viewpoints of Issyk-Kul.

Today, continue your Jeep journey toward the eastern part of Issyk-Kul.

Visit the famous Jeti-Oguz Gorge, home to the dramatic red sandstone formations known as the Seven Bulls and the Broken Heart.

Enjoy a short hike and explore the surrounding mountain landscape.

Continue to Karakol, the adventure capital of the Issyk-Kul region.

Explore the city and visit some of its cultural highlights, including the historic Dungan Mosque and Russian Orthodox Church.

Continue along the northern shore toward Cholpon-Ata.

Enjoy the evening beside Issyk-Kul Lake.

After breakfast, begin your final day of adventure.

Travel through the beautiful Grigorievsky Gorge, a spectacular mountain valley with forests, alpine meadows, rivers and dramatic peaks.

Enjoy a short hike and photography stops before continuing toward Balykchy.

From Balykchy, drive through the scenic Boom Gorge toward Bishkek.

Arrive in Bishkek in the afternoon or evening.

Tour ends in Bishkek.
