Day 1: Arrival in Osh

- Arrival in Osh, the historic gateway to southern Kyrgyzstan.
- Private airport transfer to your hotel.
- After check-in, meet your trekking guide for a full briefing.
- Depending on arrival time, explore Osh’s famous Sulaiman-Too mountain, the central bazaar and traditional streets.
- Use the evening to prepare your trekking equipment and enjoy a traditional Kyrgyz dinner.

Day 2: Osh to Sary-Mogol
Day 2: Osh to Sary-Mogol
- Early morning departure from Osh toward the Alay Valley.
- The road climbs dramatically through the mountains toward Taldyk Pass, reaching more than 3,500 m before descending into the Alay Valley.
- Continue to Sary-Mogol, the main trekking village for the Lenin Peak region.
- The day is intentionally relatively easy to allow your body to begin adapting to the altitude.
- In the afternoon, take a short acclimatization walk around the village and surrounding pastures.

- After breakfast, begin your journey toward Tulpar-Kul Lake.
- Depending on group preference and conditions, the approach can be done partly on foot with vehicle/horse support for luggage.
- Trek through the wide Alay Valley surrounded by enormous snow-covered peaks.
- As you approach Tulpar-Kul, Lenin Peak (7,134 m) begins to dominate the skyline.
- Arrive at the lake and settle into a traditional yurt camp.
- Enjoy sunset views over Tulpar-Kul and the Trans-Alay range.

Tulpar-Kul is situated around 3,500 m and serves as the main access area for the Lenin Peak Base Camp region.
Day 4: Tulpar-Kul to Lenin Peak Base Camp to Traveller's Pass

- Today is the highlight of the expedition.
- Leave the heavy equipment at the yurt camp and begin a high-altitude day hike toward Lenin Peak Base Camp / Achik-Tash.
- Continue toward Traveller’s Pass, reaching approximately 4,100–4,130 m depending on the exact route.
- From the higher viewpoint, enjoy extraordinary views of the Lenin Glacier, Lenin Peak and the surrounding Trans-Alay mountains.
- Descend back toward Tulpar-Kul in the afternoon.
- This is a demanding day due primarily to altitude rather than technical terrain.

The route from Tulpar-Kul to Traveller’s Pass is commonly described as a moderate-to-challenging high-altitude hike, with the pass around 4,100–4,130 m.
Day 5: Tulpar-Kul to Tuyuk Canyon to Sary-Mogol

- After breakfast, begin the return trek through the spectacular Tuyuk Canyon.
- This route offers a completely different perspective of the Alay landscape.
- Walk through vast pastures and remote valleys beneath the dramatic peaks of the Trans-Alay range.
- The route eventually returns toward Sary-Mogol.
- Enjoy a well-deserved dinner and comfortable night in the village.

Tuyuk Canyon is one of the established trekking options from the Tulpar-Kul area and can be combined with the Sary-Mogol return route.
Day 6: Sary-Mogol to High Mountain Pastures

- Leave Sary-Mogol behind and begin a more remote section of the adventure.
- Trek away from the main Lenin Peak route and into the surrounding Alay mountains.
- Cross open alpine pastures used by Kyrgyz shepherds during the summer season.
- The landscape becomes increasingly remote, with enormous mountain walls surrounding the valley.
- Camp near a traditional summer pasture settlement.
- Overnight: Mountain/yurt camp

- Today is one of the major trekking days.
- Ascend toward a high mountain pass in the Alay range.
- Depending on weather and trail conditions, the guide will select the safest available pass and route.
- Cross the pass and descend into a remote valley on the opposite side.
- Enjoy spectacular views over the Alay Mountains and spend the evening in a peaceful mountain camp.
Overnight: Mountain camp / yurt camp

Highest Point: Approximately 3,900–4,300 m

Day 8: Remote Valley to Sary-Mogol to Osh

- Arrive in Osh in the evening.

Note
Best season: July – August for the highest-altitude sections. June and September can also be possible depending on snow and weather conditions. Current regional guides identify July–August as the most reliable period for the Lenin Peak Base Camp/Tulpar-Kul area.
Trekking difficulty: Challenging. The main difficulty is altitude rather than technical climbing. The itinerary reaches around 4,100 m, so an acclimatization night in Sary-Mogol is deliberately included before the highest trekking day.
Important: This itinerary is not a Lenin Peak climbing expedition. Guests visit the Base Camp area and high viewpoints such as Traveller’s Pass. Climbing Lenin Peak requires a separate multi-week mountaineering program with specialist equipment, acclimatization and expedition support.
