Itinerario

Day 1: Bishkek To Burana Tower To Kochkor

Arrival in Bishkek and meeting with your private guide.
Begin your journey through Kyrgyz heritage with a visit to the historic Burana Tower, an important Silk Road monument in the Chuy Valley.
Explore the archaeological site and open-air collection of ancient stone sculptures and balbals.
Continue toward Kochkor through the mountain landscapes of central Kyrgyzstan.
Kochkor is one of the country’s important centers for traditional felt crafts and community-based tourism. Local women’s cooperatives continue to produce shyrdak and ala-kiyiz felt carpets, making the town an excellent place to experience traditional handicrafts directly.

In the afternoon, visit a local handicraft workshop.

Day 2: Kochkor To Kyzyl-tuu To Issyk-kul South Shore

After breakfast, continue toward the southern shore of Issyk-Kul.
Stop in Kyzyl-Tuu, a village known for traditional yurt craftsmanship.
Meet a local yurt-making family and learn how the wooden structure and felt coverings are produced.
Depending on the workshop, guests can participate in a simple part of the yurt-building process.

Learn about the main components of the traditional Kyrgyz yurt:

Day 3: Bokonbaevo To Eagle Hunting To Nomadic Family Experience

Today is dedicated to one of the most distinctive traditions of Kyrgyz nomadic culture.
Visit Bokonbaevo, a major cultural hub on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul and a place where visitors can meet local berkutchi, or eagle hunters.

Meet a local eagle hunter and learn about:

The role of hunting in nomadic life

Enjoy a traditional demonstration.

Day 4: Skazka Canyon To Barskoon To Jeti-oguz To Karakol

After breakfast, continue along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul.
Visit Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon, famous for its unusual red and orange sandstone formations.
Take an easy walk through the canyon and enjoy views toward Issyk-Kul.
Continue to Barskoon Valley, where you can enjoy a short nature walk and see mountain scenery and waterfalls, depending on season and weather.
Continue toward Jeti-Oguz.
See the famous red rock formations known as the Seven Bulls and the Broken Heart formation.
Your guide will explain the legends associated with the valley.
Continue to Karakol.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner and, where available, a short introduction to Kyrgyz music featuring instruments such as the komuz.

Day 5: Karakol Cultural Morning To Bishkek

Begin the final day with a relaxed cultural walk around Karakol.

Visit selected local heritage sites and learn about the multicultural history of the city.

Regional cuisine

After lunch, begin the journey back toward Bishkek.

On the way, your guide introduces the final cultural theme of the tour: the Manas epic and the tradition of Kyrgyz oral storytelling.
